This workshop teaches managers, senior staff members and trainers how to coach an individual to achieve personal and business goals in a professional and results oriented manner. Within coaching, questioning, listening and rapport building skills are key. It is also extremely important to have an organised structure for the session and a well-defined goal. The course covers:
The Grow model – This acronym stands for Goal, Reality, Options and Will (or Way Forward) and provides structure to the session.
SMART goals and questioning for achievable outcomes – Agreeing timed, quantifiable goals.
Meta model questioning – An incredibly powerful tool used to specify information missing from a person’s communication. They shake up deeply held beliefs and enable people to change their behaviours easily.
Meaning and context reframes – These take negative/unproductive facts and/or behaviours and show how they can be looked at in different, more positive ways.
Representational systems – How people take in information from the outside world and how we can use the knowledge to communicate more effectively.
Matching and mirroring – People like people who are like themselves; skills to swiftly gain trust.
